I like to use a Coptic Yogi blended Shea Butter right before Shavasana. I like to rub it on my feet to help me relax before meditating. Here's another way essential oils can be used in the practice of Yoga.

  • By a Diffuser

You can drink DoTerra oils?

DoTerra essential oils are absorbed quickly through the body by diluting them with water. Each bottle specifies which oils can be consumed and which that are recommended for topical use only.

The practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being is excellent for overall better health.

I've been using their products for years......For Bar Soap, Shampoo for Natural Hair and incredible Shea Butter products...

Dr. Bronner's quote, "Only if constructive-selfish work, perfecting first me, like every arctic owl-penguin-pilot-cat-swallow-beaver-bee, can I teach the Moral" is displayed on every bottle of his products. Emanuel Bronner, a German-Jewish Hallocaust Survivor came to America to promote his message of unity on the label of his cleansing products. Making his family's recipe for making soaps a platform for his message, Dr. Bronner, who was never a real doctor has passed on his company to his grandson, David Bronner, who continues to run the family business. Out of respect of his grandfather, he vows to never change the label
Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap is a product that I've used for over 20 years. In the past, it could only be purchased at Health Food Stores but now you can find it practically anywhere from supermarkets to major chain stores.  It's a versatile cleaning agent that can be used as a toothpaste, bathroom and kitchen cleaner or plant insect repellant. If I have nasal congestion, or feel feverish, achy, or exhausted, I use Dr. Bronner's for a quick pick-me-up. In addition, if I want a really clean floor, I'll pour some out and follow it with up with a good scrub; however, I wouldn't use it on hardwood floors, too strong! It is a very potent product and should be used cautiously. What's also interesting about the soap is the label, a litany of spiritually based expressions on morality wraps around the bottle. It makes it all the more unique. So our health product of the month is Dr. Bronner's Peppermint

Meditation and Writing, other works...

Trying to brainstorm ideas during the writing process can be a challenge but when using meditation the task becomes easier. Instead of being frustrated about a dimenishing amount of ideas, why not meditate? In deep thought, my imagination is at its best. I begin to visualize stories, see settings and the space allows creativity to fill in the details. The writing comes after the meditation. It's a process of recording what is seen in the creative mind. Through out the years, I've begun to archive stories that I've imagined and written, usually formed from a question. This is a sample of one of my works,I started years ago. I've rewritten it many times, changing the language  adding locations to the plot line. It is my Mona Lisa, adding ink like paint strokes regularly, a work that I've nursed for many years.

Shakespeare’s plumed pen wet with Cinthio’s ink,
Fashions a Moor at Venetian command,
To tumble or to roll the stone methinks.
Collied Othello hath not ivory hands
to defend his ebony “Christian shame,”
En Una Iglesia de Cadiz,
While Ferdinand and Isabella tame
Grenada the last Islamic city,
Our general is baptized and blessed.
A fallen Sultan marks the golden day
Though in darkness lies such social unrest,
Shadows lurk with uncontrolled rage
Young Othello wilt in imagined space
Decide to dwell on form or steal away....
